As part of the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State, the McCourtney Institute for Democracy is a contributor to the Liberal Arts Edge seminar series, which is designed to apply classic liberal arts training to real-world problems facing the U.S. and the world.

Course material is drawn from current events and contemporary literature to demonstrate the power of a liberal arts education in solving 21st-century problems and conflicts.
